伯明翰城市大学(BCU)是英国最大的现代化，综合性高等学府之一，其历史最早可溯到1843年，位于第二大城市伯明翰。BCU拥有来自全球80多个国家约25,000名学生，6大学院，300多种课程。学校重视学生的社会实践能力，所开设课程具被极强的实践性和创新性，多项专业获得世界级领先水平，诸多专业被英国高等教育质量评估委员会(QAA) 评为优秀。 BCU在伯明翰共有8个校区，拥有先进的现代化教学设施和实验室，提供给学生最好的硬件设施，包括图书馆，活动中心等。作为伯明翰东部发展的一部分，学校耗资1.5亿英镑，建立了一个新的“旗舰”校区。由于其极高的就业率，学校被40多所专业机构认可并且与全球千余家家喻户晓的公司合作，如著名的苹果、卡帝亚、索尼、劳斯莱斯等。英国星期日泰晤士报在2012年的最新数据中将我校排在了123所大学的第29位。
