所以要花一期来聊聊这些小可爱们.
1. purr /p??/
v. When a cat purrs, it makes a low vibrating sound with its throat because it is contented. 猫猫很舒服时候的呼噜声~
1. The cat purred as I stroked its fur.
注：stoke v. 轻抚；抚摩
2. If we stroke the cat one way, it purrs, and if we stroke it the other way it growls.
这里的 growl是什么意思呢？
刚好和purr相反，就是铲屎官强行撸猫后，猫猫的低吼声：a deep threatening sound.
2. pat /pæt/
v. to lightly touch (someone or something) with your hand to show affection or approval or to provide comfort.
所以 pat cats 就是撸猫。
其他类似的表达如刚才提到的stroke pats 以及pet cats
pet v. 抚摸；爱抚地摩挲
3. companion /k?m'pænj?n/
n. a person or animal you spend time with or enjoy being with
大多数人养宠物的原因即：they make good companions.
e.g. The dog has been her constant /longtime companion these past ten years. 形影不离的陪伴。
4. furry /'f??r?/
furry的词根是fur, 那么意思就一目了然了: 毛茸茸的。
e.g. The koala is a sluggish, tailless, furry arboreal mammal. 考拉是一种行动迟缓的、无尾的、有皮毛、生活于树上的哺乳动物。（考拉：感觉被冒犯。）
同义词：soft/ fluffy / downy
fluffy：松软的，蓬松的
fluffy clouds/ fluffy sweater / fluffy cake
downy：down 有羽毛；绒毛的意思，所以羽绒服叫 down jacket
形容词：downy hair/ pillows
5. cuddle /'k?d(?)l/
n./ v. 拥抱;搂抱；
1. Customers are allowed to pay an hourly fee for the chance to cuddle some cats. 付费撸猫。
短语：cuddle up (to) 依偎
2. We'd go home and cuddle up together to watch TV.
adj: cuddly (人或动物)令人想拥抱的，惹人怜爱的；
3. It looked so cuddly; you have to remind yourself how dangerous it is.
4. It seems that some grown-ups continue to need their cuddly toy by their sides. 一些成年人仍然需要把可爱的玩具放在身边。（是你吗？
