1 to drop down towards the ground 掉下;落下: He fell off the ladder onto the grass. 他从梯子摔到草地上。The rain was falling steadily. 雨下个不停。
2 fall (down/over) to suddenly stop standing and drop to the ground 跌倒在地;倒下: She slipped on the ice and fell. 她在冰上滑倒了。The little boy fell over and hurt his knee. 小男孩跌了一交,摔伤了膝盖。
3 to hang down 垂下: Her hair fell down over her shoulders. 她长发披肩。
